Professional Organizers specialize in various areas of organizing, and not all possess the knowledge, experience, education or professional affiliations to work with conditions such as Hoarding, ADD/ADHD, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Depression, Chronic Disorganization, or significant life changes.
It is important to note - Professional affiliation or membership in organizations that do specialize in these disorders doesn't necessarily equate to experience. It is important to ask questions and thoroughly check credentials to be certain the organizer you are considering has a working knowledge of a particular condition or situation and is qualified to work with these types of clients.
